On Tuesday, October 18, a teenage driver was in a fatal accident in Atlanta.
According to authorities, the accident happened at around 6.30 a.m. when 16 year old Terrell King of Stone Mountain lost control of a Dodge Journey when traveling at high speed. He crashed the vehicle into mail boxes and trees before the car became airborne and took down power lines before landing on top of a house. King was ejected onto the front lawn of another house.
The vehicle had been stolen the Sunday before, October 16, around five miles from the crash site.
He was taken to the hospital and was first said to be in stable condition. However King died of his injuries on Wednesday, the day after the crash. No one else was injured in the crash.
Police hope that this will be a lesson for teens as to the dangers of stealing vehicles and driving them at top speed.
